Project Description

Reconfiguration of first floor office spaces to provide additional meeting rooms, collaboration area/ ‘Town Hall’ space and general refurbishment of open office areas. The ongoing project to rearrange and refurbish the ground Floor Reception and Post Room areas comprises alterations to layout and the comprehensive refurbishment to provide bight and welcoming areas that confirms both Liberty Global’s brand values and social commitments with the addition of Wellbeing, Parenting, Faith and First Aid rooms together with the introduction of additional meeting rooms and new Reception spaces. Liberty Global’s commitment to this strategically important business hub is underlined with the ongoing works programme at the site with further phases of refurbishment and improvements planned to be carried out over the forthcoming 12 – 18 months.

 

Nature of involvement

The challenge with both the works to the first floor offices and the ground floor reception area was to plan the works to minimise the impact on Business as Usual operations. The Pandemic assisted in the case of the office reconfiguration project with most of the staff working from home. With regards to the Reception area revamp, temporary reception facilities have been provided which have allowed the contractor full access to the entire site area to enable works to be carried out uninhibited. Careful costs planning in collaboration with the Client’s Partnering contractor also played a key role in balancing the development of the Client’s Brief and abiding by the approved budget.
