The scheme is complete with all services, drainage and extensive external works.

Nature of Involvement

TCQ were appointed to provide an estimation of overall costs and to negotiate and agree a contract cost with the Client appointed Contractor and in the preparation and issuing of tender and contract documents. This also included additional traditional Quantity Surveying services at Pre Contract stage.

Post Contract services included attendance at all progress and site meetings, monthly cost reporting, agreement of compensation events and prolongation, valuations and Client draw-down schedules of total out-turn cost and preparation and completion of the final account.

Project Performance

Circle Birmingham Hospital is an integral part of the city’s push to build the region’s reputation as an international centre of excellence for health care bringing thousands of jobs to the area over the next 3 years. It was therefore vital that the scheme was delivered on time and within budget. TCQ delivered on both.

By collaborative working and extending our role to ensure client requirements were met or exceeded expectations and enabled both the additional works and revised new works to commence on site with minimum disruption to either project phase.

The project was completed both within the allotted timeframe and within the increased client budget.
